For those who may be interested in my favourite value-for-money eats around Dublin, I have a guest post appearing today on the ever more popular CheapEats.ie site, and which you can read here. With the economy falling down about our ears, it seems that the locals hereabouts are mighty keen to find out how and where they might fill their bellies full of good food without necessarily having to hand over a sackful of cash…

Well done Spud. Very nicely put together. Sure I’ll come with you when you out exploring next!
This definitely gets added to my bookmarks for our future trips to Dublin. We’ve had breakfast at it’s a bagel and my husband has been to Fallon & Byrne Deli Counter !
Great list! It’s a motivation to return for another visit to Dublin. I must admit that during our trip in ’07, we didn’t know any locals to guide us to the hidden gems (although in hindsight, I think we just needed to engage people more in conversation). Must make plans . . .
Thanks so much for sharing this post! I will have it in hand when I’m in Dublin this summer. Last year I had researched Cornucopia, but never made it there. I enjoyed the Itsa Bagel in Dun Laoghaire. They have such great sandwich varieties. Last time I survived on A LOT of inexpensive (but delicious) soup. I need to venture out to find more deals this next trip. :)
Look at you, guest blogger extraordinaire! Looks like a nice list of places to visit:)
Ange: but of course – we’ll see what else we can scare up for cheap about the place…
Natasha: hope it comes in useful when you’re next here!
Tangled Noodle: well, you know at least one local now :)
Lori: Cornucopia is definitely worth a visit if you can – and also happy to help out with any other tips for your visit of course
Jenni: indeed – if you ever make it to this neck of the woods, I’d be happy to take you on a tour of same!
